Organic Fruits and Vegetables
Buying organic can be pretty pricy, so here is one way to make smart decisions when you shop. This may behold hat to many of you, but there are 2 lists that are published every year. One is called The Dirty Dozen. These are the 12 fruits and vegetables that are the most heavily laden with pesticides so, obviously, the foods you should buy organic . The Clean Fifteen is the second list, and is a group of the foods that are the least affected. But conventional for these and save yourself a little money.

I recently returned to Auburn and have adopted a plant based diet. Where are the best places to buy organic locally near Auburn? And is the Farmers Market a safe place (can I trust they are organic?)
Thanks.
Welcome Back, Diane! Gaia’s Natural Foods is a wonderful market to purchase organic foods! It is located at 937 Lincoln Way in Downtown Auburn across from Central Square. We also recommend the local Farmers Market down off of Auburn Folsom. It is very safe but you do have to pick the booths that sell organic products.
